[ There was a soft hum escaping past the end of Roxy Lalonde's lips. Studying in a library was the last thing she wanted to do. Even if she gotten credit for this, Roxy had to be a little irked. One, there was no boys and two, Rose was across from her. She had to be enjoying this. Roxy let an annoyed huff out as she scanned her text book idly, not even in the right mind to know what class she was even studying for. Damn that. ]

You know, this is really --

SHHHH!!!!

[ Yeah, this was stupid. Roxy looked over to the librarian on duty who just shushed the shit out of her and sighed. Whipping out her cell phone to log into a familiar and popular chat client. Yeah, if she couldn't bitch about her hate for studying to Rose vocally, she'd do it through text. ]

[ A minute of not answering, Roxy would grow annoyed. Desperate times. In which Roxy would send a small balled up paper across the long study table, pointing obnoxiously to her own cell phone, then to hers. ]

[ And on the other side of the spectrum, Rose is contently studying. She finds the library silence comforting, as it should be, and relishes in the quiet to productively study and most importantly, learn.

That would be the difference between her and her sister across from her.

Without so much as a flinch, her eyes glance up from the text and she takes a quick look at Roxy. She's slouching, looks bored of her mind and already has her phone whipped out, secretly texting to waste time.

Rose sighs. Sometimes, she can't help but wonder how they're related. She supposes someone had to get the brains. Roxy, theoretically, is the brawns.

She feels a vibration in the pocket of her skirt; dammit, she should've remembered to just turn off the blasted mobile device if Roxy planned on pestering her nonverbally from the start. Glancing to the sides, she makes sure the librarian is out of sight and slips her phone out. ]

This class only lasts for another forty-five minutes.
It wouldn't kill you to have an ounce of patience and maybe a drive for learning something because unlike you, there are actually people who would like to study in peace.
Namely, me.
And with that being said, I will be turning my phone off as to not be disturbed.
Try not to kill yourself before class ends, Roxy.

[ And Rose does exactly what she says; after sending her final message to Roxy, she closes the pesterchum application and shuts her phone off. Pocketing it away, she resumes studying. Oh, how fascinating the history of ancient civilizations are. ]

[ Out of the corner of her eyes, she can see Roxy flail in her seat. She smirks to herself, flips the page of her book and considers this a victory.

But it doesn't last long when her seat shifts with a soft umph, and now her line of sight is moved away from her book.

Well, if she wants to be like that, fine. ]

I doubt even a treaty would stop you. You have a history of doing what you want, when you wanted, with nothing stopping you.

[ Rose moves to face her body the other way, but Roxy's hands pull at her cheeks and she instinctively maneuvers her hands to smack them away. ]

Leth go, Thosi. [ aka, let go of me right now or I swear -- ]

[ A scoff. Roxy thinks she has this all figured out, thinks she can get Rose sidetracked from her studying on the mythological Norse creatures, but she's gone through this situation too many times in the past and knows well enough how to get herself out of it.

Once a nerd, always a nerd, isn't that right? ]

How about you take forty minutes of the whole forty-five [ at this she pulls a book from a pile nearby, and passes it to her disruptive relative ] and study for the exam coming up. Time flies when you're having fun, as they say, and I can attest to the fact that it can be fun.

You'll be rewarded a five minute break, if anything.
